How To Deal With Gaza After Hamas

Saying it's bad to murder women is Hezbollah's idea of a woman's rights "pioneer"?

One of CNN's Senior Middle East editors, Octavia Nasr was fired after the news organization determined she had compromised herself by tweeting praise for Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, a Hezbollah leader who died recently.

Nasr called him "one of Hezbollah's giants I respect a lot" and later apologized, calling it an "error of judgement."  Fadlallah, described as the "spiritual guide" of Hezbollah, endorsed suicide attacks against Israel and was placed on a terrorist blacklist by the US. He also issued religious edicts banning so-called honour killings of women and enshrining the right of women to defend themselves from domestic abuse. Rights that women in the western world have had for centuries. His stance on women's rights made him a controversial figure within his movement and he was shunned by many conservative Muslim religious leaders for it.
